Dan Flower, Freelance Copywriter and Content Writer
Writing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it was writing for the school newspaper aged 12, blogging during university, or producing copy and content in my previous role at a Xerox partner, people always told me I had ‘a way with words.’
Today, I work as a freelance copywriter and content writer from my home office on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border. Usually seen with coffee in hand, I help clients as far away as Australia with web and print copy, articles, blog posts, product descriptions, press releases and much more. I've even ghostwritten several books, but rather embarrassingly I haven't yet got around to writing my own. Watch this space.
Things I'm good at:
- Writing without waffle
- Producing compelling copy
- Spelling and grammar
- Editing and proofreading
- Researching complex subjects
- Building websites with WordPress
- SEO and marketing
Words that describe me:
- Picky (with punctuation)
Harry the Westie, Head of Entertainment
From an early age, people told me I was adorably cute. I took this to mean I could get away with pretty much anything, which is why I now like to spend my days running around the house chasing everything that moves and running off with socks from the washing machine. I mean, who doesn't love playing with a sock?
These days, I'm Head of Entertainment here at Written by Dan. Frankly, I think I should be promoted to Head of Sales and Marketing. I mean, surely my cute face is the thing that brings in the sales? Yep, I demand a pay rise.
